  • Mississippi Brilla FC announced today that Luke Sanford has been appointed the Head Coach of the USL League Two Team. Mississippi Brilla will enter its 13th season in the league with its 5th head coach. Sanford replaces Mark McKeever after 4 seasons.

    Sanford recently completed his 4th year at the helm of Indiana Wesleyan University.   • Mississippi Brilla FC recently announced that Head Coach Mark McKeever will not be returning for the 2019 USL League Two (formerly PDL) season. The club has begun its search for a new head coach.

    “Coach Mark McKeever did an outstanding job during his four year tenure with our club,” said Executive Director Rusty Bryant. “We wish him nothing but the best as he begins the next chapter of his coaching career. Coach Mark will always be a part of the Brilla family.”

    Giving Tuesday is almost here! Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving to non-profits (like Brilla Soccer Ministries) that is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday helps non-profits kick off their charitable giving season, when people typically begin to focus on their end of the year giving.   • Mississippi Brilla FC narrowly missed out on a playoff spot, but put an exclamation point on the season with a 2-1 victory over Peachtree City MOBA on Sunday night in Clinton. After learning their postseason fate following some unfavorable results in other games on Saturday night, Brilla capped off an 8-2-4 season with a win in front of their home fans on a muggy Sunday night.

  • Jimenez Leads Brilla in Blowout

    Mississippi Brilla FC entered the weekend needing two wins at home to have any chance of advancing to the playoffs next weekend. The first step was completed with a 6-0 drubbing of Peachtree City MOBA on Friday night.
    Brilla jumped out in front early when Pau Jimenez played a brilliant ball through the gap that left Napo Matsoso with only the MOBA goalkeeper to beat. He was able to slot the ball past Konrad Dziedzic to give the hosts a 1-0 after only 6 minutes. The early lead held throughout the first half.
