After being here in Mississippi for a couple of weeks, in what ways have you seen yourself grow?
“Being in Mississippi for a couple weeks now has helped me in many areas of my life. Not only has Brilla helped me live like a professional, but it's also helped me train like one. Needless to say, I have developed as a player in these first couple weeks, but the environment has had the biggest impact. Being around a group of guys that not only want to make it to the next level, but have the talent and work rate to get there, has provided a unique experience that I could only get here. Being able to implement a nice style of play where we move the ball quickly whilst maintaining possession throughout the game has definitely been the most enjoyable part of this experience. Brilla has helped me grow as a person and a player and also in my love for the game.”
How has the game of soccer intertwined with your faith?
“For the majority of my life, I have placed soccer as my number one priority. Through experience and time, I have learned that God is above everything and it’s thanks to him that I get the privilege of playing. The game of soccer has taught me the persistence I need to continue in my relationship with Christ on a daily basis. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of a faith-based organization where Ican continue both my soccer career and my walk with Christ.”
What is your favorite verse?
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” --- Jeremiah 29:11-13
