• Brilla falls in Little Rock

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Mississippi Brilla FC fell to the Little Rock Rangers by a close 2-1 score on Saturday night in Little Rock. The loss drops Brilla to a 5-4-1 record, while the Rangers move to 4-5-3. 

    Goalkeeper Chris Morrish made a couple of nice saves early on, including a diving save of an onrushing Rangers player at the back post.

    But the home team still went ahead in the 40th minute of the match. A defensive miscue from Brilla led to the Rangers' striker putting the ball into an empty net.

  • LAFAYETTE, La. - Mississippi Brilla FC fell to Louisiana Krewe FC 3-1 in Mid South Division action tonight. The loss drops Brilla to 5-3-1 while the Krewe moves to 4-1-4.

    The home team opened the scoring in the 11th minute. A loose ball wasn't dealt with by the Brilla defense, and the Krewe's winger was able to put the ball into the back of the net.

  • CLINTON, Miss. - Lightning struck twice for Mississippi Brilla FC this season, as the team picked up all three points with a 7-0 win over LA Parish AC on Wednesday evening. This was Brilla's second win of the season by same scoreline against the visitors from Baton Rouge.

    Peyton Voelker opened the scoring for Brilla in the 17th minute. The genesis of the attack was David Trevizo’s tackle and ensuing pass to Marco Astorga. Astorga played a well-weighted pass to Voelker, who slotted the shot off the post and into the net.
