  • The Premier Development League may seem far removed from the professional ranks of England, but former Middlesbrough defender Paul Weldon is hoping a change of scenery will lead to new opportunities.

  • The University of Nebraska Omaha has become the latest program to send multiple players to Mississippi to compete in the Premier Development League this summer. The Mavericks compete in the NCAA Division I Summit League, and recently completed a successful 10-5-2 season. 

    Emir Alihodzic, a junior from St. Louis, MO, comes to Brilla as a highly touted defensive center midfielder. Originally from Bosnia, Alihodzic logged nearly 1400 minutes in 17 games played for the Mavericks in the Fall. He was named 2nd Team All-Summit League.

  • Ibarra and Obradovic Sign With Brilla

    Mississippi Brilla FC continues to build its roster for the 2015 Premier Development League season with the additions of Juan Ibarra and Perica Obradovic. Both players are coming off of strong college seasons in which they led their teams to NAIA national rankings. Ibarra’s UT-Brownsville team finished 24-1 with a #2 final ranking. Their lone defeat came in the national championship match. Obradovic helped guide Oklahoma Wesleyan to a #23 national ranking and a 14-5-2 record.

  • Mississippi Brilla FC has added three players from the University of Northwestern Ohio to its Premier Development League squad. The trio led their team to a 17-5-2 record in route to the NAIA semi-finals.

    Carlos Garces, a sophomore midfielder from Cali, Columbia, earned 2nd Team NAIA All-American honors while tallying 8 goals and 10 assists. He was also named to the NSCAA All-Mideast Region Team.
