  • On Saturday, June 20, Mississippi Brilla FC hosted the Houston Dutch Lions in the second of a two-game home series.


    After a weather-delayed match ended in a 2-1 win for Mississippi on Thursday, Houston needed a win to revive their postseason hopes. Brilla was looking to stay in the thick of the playoff race.

  • Mississippi Brilla FC is scheduled to host the Houston Dutch Lions on Saturday, June 20 in the second match of weekend doubleheader. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm at Traceway Park Field 3. Brilla knocked off the Dutch Lions 2-1 in Thursday’s first match.

  • Mississippi Brilla FC and the Houston Dutch Lions squared off against each other at Clinton’s Traceway Park in their first of four meetings on Thursday night. After six cautions, two red cards, and two lightning delays totaling nearly two hours, Brilla found itself with a 2-1 victory when the whistle finally ended the match.

  • Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mississippi Brilla FC is moving their two weekend matches versus the Houston Dutch Lions to Clinton’s Traceway Park. The two matches scheduled for Thursday, June 18 and Saturday, June 20 will be played at Traceway Park with 7:00 PM kickoffs.

     

    Relocation of the game to Traceway Park provides a unique opportunity to highlight the burgeoning relationship between Mississippi Brilla FC and the city of Clinton’s Parks and Recreation Department.   •  In the second game of a two-game home-stand, Mississippi Brilla  avenged the 2-1 defeat handed to them by the Laredo Heat just two days before. Brilla had their foot on the pedal from the opening whistle while it appeared the Heat were content to sit in and defend as a draw would suit them just fine after already securing three points from their first match.


    The Laredo tactics worked for the first half. Despite  taking nine shots in the first 45 minutes, Brilla was unable to put one behind Laredo goalkeeper, Jorge Ortega.
