Tomorrow, the boys in Carolina blue will hit the road and travel to the Atlanta Metro Area for a weekend showdown with Peachtree City MOBA. This match will be a rematch from the season opener in Clinton, which Brilla won 2-1. Both teams haven't had the seasons that they have wanted, but they both will relish a chance to hit the season's final stretch on a high note.
Peachtree City currently have a 3-8 record in their debut PDL season. Five of those losses have come by just one goal, so the team has been competitive.
Omar Jarun is a player to watch for the team. The Palestinian international has anchored the backline and scored three goals of his own this season.
Taku Mashingaidze is another player to look out for. He is second on the team in goals scored with two goals, including two in his last two matches.
Brilla are barely clinging on to faint playoff hopes. They know that a win is required this weekend. Brilla scored first in both matches this past weekend, but only came out with a point. Coach Mark McKeever will be looking for his team to put those results behind them and move forward.
Midfielder Oscar Jimenez has been a revelation this season for Brilla, scoring four goals and assisting on two others. McKeever will be looking to him to provide some inspiration to Brilla's attack once again.
Newton Henry has also come on strong during this last part of the season. He has three goals in his past six matches, which is good for second on the team. Jake McCain, who has arguably been the team's most versatile player, has three assists to lead the team in that category.
The venue for Saturday night's match will be Starr's Mill High School. Kickoff will be 7:00 CDT. Stay tuned to Brilla's Twitter account for live stream info.
