Brilla Falls to Texas United on the Road

RICHARDSON, Texas.- A late free kick goal was the difference, as Mississippi Brilla FC fell to Texas United 1-0 tonight. The loss was Brilla’s first of this USL League Two season, and the home team’s decisive goal came in the 86th minute.

One of Brilla’s best opportunity in the first 45 minutes came in first half stoppage time. Defender Orlando Lozano played a fantastic diagonal ball to Ciro Damine, and Damine then played across to Adrian Morales. However, Morales’ strike was held by the goalkeeper.

James Ndubueze came on in the 2nd half for Damine and nearly made a difference. His 66th minute strike flew past the outstretched hands of the goalie and the post.

Alejandro Chavarria made five saves in the match. His best one came in the 19th minute, when he went airborne to parry a 20-yard strike wide.
