Clinton’s Traceway Park to Host Brilla FC Match Thursday and Saturday

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mississippi Brilla FC is moving their two weekend matches versus the Houston Dutch Lions to Clinton’s Traceway Park. The two matches scheduled for Thursday, June 18 and Saturday, June 20 will be played at Traceway Park with 7:00 PM kickoffs.

Relocation of the game to Traceway Park provides a unique opportunity to highlight the burgeoning relationship between Mississippi Brilla FC and the city of Clinton’s Parks and Recreation Department. The relocation also provides an opportunity to play the game on an international regulation natural grass pitch.

“The expanded playing surface  should provide the opportunity for our players to be creative and spread the ball out on the offensive attack. The larger field should also open up the game and provide a more fast paced tactical approach to the match,” stated Rusty Bryant, Executive Director of Brilla FC.

Clinton Parks and Recreation are working with Brilla FC to create an intimate stadium atmosphere for the weekend, including bleachers on the field. Mississippi College and Clinton Chamber of Commerce Night will continue as planned for Thursday, June 18, and all advertised activities for both matches will proceed as scheduled.

Admission to Thursday’s game is $5 with free parking. Saturday’s game is free admission with donations toward Brilla’s Urban Soccer Project encouraged. Fans may enter the park at Soccer Row off of Cynthia Drive. Entrance gates will be set up at the top of field 3 adjacent to the Parks and Recreation Administration Building.
