Brilla Adds Pair From Chile

Saez and Flores sign with Mississippi

Mississippi Brilla FC continues to add to its 2015 Premier Development League team with the announcement of two college standouts originally from Santiago, Chile.   Manuel Saez will be returning for a second season, while Ignacio Flores becomes the first new signing announced for the upcoming season.

Saez is coming off a strong Junior season at Hannibal-LaGrange University where he was named First Team All-Conference in the American Midwest Conference. The forward posted a team high 29 points off of 10 goals and 9 assists. Saez saw limited action with Brilla in 2014 due to an injury.

Joining Saez as a First Team AMC All-Conference selection is fellow Chilean, Ignacio Flores. Flores is a Junior defender at Park University. He was a part of a defense that limited opponents to 20 goals in 2014. Flores also contributed 4 goals and 6 assists. He is a two-time First Team All-Conference selection.

“We are obviously thrilled to have Manuel back with us, and are anxious to see what he can do when he is healthy,” said Executive Director Rusty Bryant. “We have heard nothing but great things about Flores and can’t wait to see him on the field this summer.”
Mississippi Brilla FC will take the field for its 9th PDL season in May. Tickets are on sale now.
