The United Soccer Leagues have announced the Premier Development League alignment and schedule for 2015. Mississippi Brilla will remain in the Southern Conference’s Mid-South Division, which has been reduced to four teams after the 2014 division champion Austin Aztex’s move to USL PRO. The remaining members in the division are the Laredo Heat, the Houston Dutch Lions, and the Midland/Odessa Sockers.
New head coach Mark McKeever will look to start strongly, but it won’t be an easy task as Brilla will open the 2015 campaign with back-to-back games in Laredo against the 2014 division runners-up Heat on May 23rd and 25th. Mississippi will then make their home debut when they host the Panama City Beach Pirates on May 29th in a cross-divisional match with the result counting toward the league standings.
“We are looking forward to the upcoming season with a new coach and a new crop of talent,” said Executive Director Rusty Bryant. “We play in one of the toughest divisions in the league, but we believe that this will be a year that we can make a run at the championship. We can’t wait to kick-off the season and show our fans an exciting brand of soccer for the 2015 season.”
Brilla will play all of their home matches at Clinton High School and all matches kick off at 7:00 PM. Tickets are now on sale here at brillasoccer.org.
