The Clinton, MS based team, which represents the highest level of soccer in the state of Mississippi, will offer its annual open tryout on Saturday, January 30 from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm at Traceway Park in Clinton, MS.  Interested high school, college, and former college players should pre-register for the tryout HERE. There is a $35 registration fee. (Note: Online registration closed on January 29.) Walk-up registrations will be accepted. Please arrive early so you can fill out appropriate paperwork.

“Our open tryouts are an exciting time for our organization,” said Rusty Bryant, Executive Director and General Manager. “It gives our coaching staff an opportunity to find some unexpected talent to complement the players that are already being recruited.”

Coach Mark McKeever will be returning to the helm of the defending Mid-South Division champions. McKeever led Brilla back to the playoffs following a three-year absence. The team also qualified for the 2016 U.S. Open Cup, which will begin on May 11.

“I am positive that our success last season with winning our division and being involved in the US Open Cup this year will increase the desire to be involved in this professional experience,” said McKeever. “I am excited to see the talent level at this year’s tryout."

Mississippi Brilla FC is entering its 10th year of competition in the Premier Development League of the United Soccer Leagues. The PDL is the top developmental league in North America, and has proven to be one of the most important stepping-stones for professional soccer players around the world.
